James started out his digital career in tech support, however he found that he wanted to pursue more creative work and transitioned to a designer/developer role. Since joining GPMD in 2013 he has mainly focused on front-end development, creating scalable user interfaces for various e-commerce platforms including Magento, Shopware, BigCommerce and Shopify.
At the intersection of design and engineering, James keeps his finger on the pulse of the latest developments in UI, UX, and web technologies. Often experimenting, he seeks to sort the genuine advancements from fragile trends to find out what can really supercharge websites.
When James isn't pushing buttons, you'll find him travelling, tinkering with old cars or cooking fusion dishes that would enrage traditionalists.
